In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich Linux als effiziente und kostengünstige Betriebssystem-Plattform etabliert. Mit dem Open-Source-Projekt Moblin wird eine Linux-Referenzimplementierung vorgestellt, die den Komfort von PC-zentrischen Linux-Distributionen mit mobilen Features verbindet. Der Vortrag bietet einen Überblick über Moblin, umreißt Einsatzgebiete, Hauptkomponenten und -features sowie die Roadmap. Auch auf die Softwareentwicklung für Moblin wird eingegangen.
