Mark ramm-christensen (07.May.2010 at 12:40)
Talk at Stir Trek: Iron Man Edition (English - US)
At Geek.net we run Sourceforge, Slashdot, ThinkGeek, and other high traffic sites, and we've been busy using Python, MongoDB, Hadoop, and other modern technologies to create more dynamic and interesting sites. This talk will present a couple of real life studies of how Python+non-relational database technologies open doors for new functionality.

Wow. Mark knows his stuff. This talk was jammed full of incredibly insightful experiences on using Mongo in on large scale, high volume sites. There aren't many people who get this kind of view of technology pushing the edges of innovation. To me, this was the surprise talk of the day, and turned out to be one of the high points for me coming out of Stir Trek. Mark, wonderful work!
