Semantic is the New Standard

Talk at OpenCa.mp (English - US)
We've all heard it before, your website should have valid (X)HTML!! That was merely the opening act to the main event. The web is shifting forward once again, and this time the goal is structured data within your valid markup. Want users to download contact info, event listings, and other stuff straight off your web page with one click? How about getting your products or reviews listed in search engines with extras like five star ratings? Or what if you could import a person's profile into your site and it would automatically change when they update it on their site? This is all possible with the semantic web.
The session will include an intro to microformats, RDFa, and the semantic web in general, a discussion around the enormous potential for both users and search engines, a summary of how each CMS at Opencamp is implementing these technologies, and how you can get started!
