Talk at SACRAO 2011 (English - US)
SESSION ROOM: MACON
Those of us who work directly in publications, ranging from alluring admissions brochures to riveting course catalogs, have not played a conspicuous role in SACAO conferences. Some of us think that we can utilize SACRAO to provide an opportunity to help each other by sharing our experience and expertise in the publications arena. This session will be an open discussion on how we can develop support and networking initiatives both within and outside SACRAO, such as developing listserves, suggesting future SACRAO sessions, and other brainstorms as they strike.

Good session and sharing of ideas. For future conferences - will be great to have sessions on catalogs, viewbook, brochures, and e-marketing/recruiting tools.

I appreciate that SACRAO wants more session ideas, but this was a 60 minute brainstorming session to benefit future attendees.

Really good information from colleagues. I'll definitely keep up with those I met here today.
22.Feb.2011 at 15:01 by Paper 10
Think there are two distinct categories w/ 1 admission publications & marketing & 2 catalog. Would love to see specific sessions regarding those.

I was expecting more of a presentation than a forum. However, the forum format was fantastic. Learned a lot, gathered many contacts, collected tons of ideas.

Was looking for more recruitment admissions publications info but session was good.
22.Feb.2011 at 15:03 by Paper 10
I dont' have much to do w/catalogs, but admissions marketing separate would be better.
22.Feb.2011 at 15:03 by Paper 10
Good discussion that will hopefully lead to sessions being developed for future conferences. Would like to see a sub-group created for folks in curriculum specifically.

Divide future sessions on Publications between catalog editors & admissions/recruitment.
Good idea to be more specific in description of session to draw those in various areas.
