Joomla! is a very popular content management system, but developing for it can be confusing if you don't know where to find things. While
features like MVC components are well-designed, others (such as sections and categories) may not work as you might expect. Fortunately, once you know the workarounds, you can use tools and coding styles you're already comfortable with.
