EXPLAIN is a misunderstood tool for optimizing SQL queries. But not all full table scans are bad and not all indexes speed access. This session is an introduction to using EXPLAIN to improve MySQL performance and help you write better SQL queries.

Felt the user had difficulties talking or breathing, had a lot of trouble motivating the audience i think and finished early. Good but not better sadly...

I came in with a high expectation for this talk, but walked out feeling underwhelmed. The speaker just zapped through all the slides in 20 minutes, without going into any depth for any of the topics. Wish more effort was put into preparing this talk. It's a very good topic but unfortunately poorly executed.

Totally agree with other comments. Nothing more to say that have been already said.
I'd like to see the slides slower on my own.
