Nice to be in a talk where code was discussed but there wasn't a huge block of code on the page. Beau does a nice job of telling the story of how a developer can go, over time, from being a consumer of open source software to building a piece of open source which people actually use. He goes into the challenges of dealing with imperfect prior art, rejections, and finally meeting people who actually use his software.

Really interesting memoir, starts a little slow but an inspiring climax and overall well presented.
Good story. Interesting to see how the idea evolved.
