Speaker: Shawn McCool
Shawn has been developing for the web professionally for over 15 years. Most of his job is planning and developing web sites. But, he is always working on squeezing in game development.

In June of 2011 Shawn moved from Nashville, TN to Utrecht in the Netherlands. He works from home (sometimes cafes) and is actively studying Dutch.


Talk: "Laravel"
Laravel is a relative newcomer to the PHP framework scene. It's a full-stack MVC framework that emphasises testable code, Composer integration, and developer freedom. In this talk we'll take a look at what distinguishes Laravel from other frameworks, at what it can provide for developers, and we'll discuss an upcoming event happening right here in the heart of Amsterdam.
