BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation. If you work in information security (or want to learn more about it), check out BSidesSLC2016. The board at BSidesSLC is excited to provided another bring another two packed days of workshops, talks, entertainment, games (Hacker Jeopardy, anyone?), and, of course, spending time with our amazing friends in the local Information Security community.
This year, BSidesSLC will take place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11. Check out their schedule here.
Registration costs $65 and includes full access to workshops, talks, a t-shirt, challenge coin, swag bag, badge, and entry in the raffle. Please note that registration does not include lunch, but fear not, we have many tasty options in our downtown neighborhood. You can register on their website.
Call for Volunteers!
BSidesSLC could not happen without the community and needs volunteers to be successful. We have over 30 different time slots that need to be filled in order to put on the conference, ranging from shifts at the registration desk to running audio and video during each speaking track. If you are interested in helping, email [email protected] with your name, contact information (phone number is sufficient), and the number of shifts desired. Each shift requires a minimum 4-hour commitment as assigned by the conference committee. Every volunteer will have full access to the conference, receive a t-shirt and challenge coin, AND gain our undying gratitude and affection (awkward hugs are optional).
