I really liked the way Marc introduced the concept of authorization and access control. The story he told created a very effective story & metaphor before getting into code.
The only thing I would have liked to see is possibly more concrete examples of the code in CakePHP and the way you can use them.

I second Mark Story's comment about :
a) the imaginative way to draw an analogy for Authentication
b) more code examples would be awesome.
Great talk with a good structure which made understanding the concepts easy.
Great job. Agreed with the others on the effective story.
