This talk highlights CakePHP 3's excellent support for prepared statements. Many see them as outdated. On the contrary, for this high-traffic use case, we have a strong advantage. We'll re-design our tables for our code's advantage. We'll develop a PHP utility class taking advantage of our re-designed tables.

I enjoyed how thorough and deep Ed went in his talk. I was a little worried at first about how much code he was showing, but his approach to draw on top of the code samples helped make them easier to follow and helped me follow the content.

If I was to change one part of the slides it would be to reduce the amount of text that was shown alongside code samples. Instead you can talk to that content and let people focus on the code samples and highlighting that you're doing.
