I think your talk was great! It contained all the elements to keep me entertained and you had some nice insights. Also your tempo and articulation was excellent.
I noticed you were quite nervous, or at least you seemed to be. You moved a lot, I could almost call it dancing. If you want to speak more often, which I think you should, try to keep them nerves under control and move a bit less ;-)
Haven't seen anyone call promises Monads before, but like pointers, monads have the possiblity to be simply defined yet tend to get funky specific definitions that don't help anyone just wandering into the field. Nice work.
