HTTPS, SSL, SSH, PGP are terms most people know that they are somehow related to encryption. But how does it work? During this talk you will find out why even the most complex encryption algorithms used today are based on very simple concepts. We will dive into the basics of public key encryption, how it works and together with some (simple) examples, give you some insight on encryption in general. And who the heck are Alice and Bob anyway?

Great talk, good examples and explanation. I even got the math, and i suck at that.

I had the chance to jump into the uncon track when no other talks were available. I was pleasantly surprised by this talk, which was definitely well prepared by the speaker. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

This was a very interesting talk.

I liked the 'under the hood look at HTTPS' and the discussion of the algorithm (although I couldn't quite grasp it in the short time it was discussed).

If I could make a recommendation I would focus the talk more on a specific topic, like how does HTTPS work or what is PGP and how is it important or the role of signing in web services.

Really interesting talk. I now understand the process better. Didn't yet get the math, by brain is just no so fast. But thanks anyway.
