The web is becoming more and more powerful everyday, especially with the launch of Progressive Web Apps. PWAs are experiences that combine the best of the web and the best of apps. You can now build web apps that run from your home screen, receive push notifications & work offline.

We will start by introducing Progressive Web Apps by explaining what are the main concepts behind it (such as Web App Manifest & Service Worker).
We will cover in depth how we can write service worker code to control the network and create resilient experiences.

After introducing PWAs, we will explore relevant best practices.
Last but not least, we will explore some modern Web APIs that will make building PWAs a much more robust experience.

It was an interesting talk, the presentation was well designed, the speaker was knowlegeable and fluent.
However, there wasn't even one word about PHP. I paid a ticket to attend lectures about cutting edge PHP, not about mobile apps.
I expected some connection of PWA with what I do as a PHP developer.

Nice talk, experienced speaker. Are the slides available?

Good introductory talk summarising the state of PWA today and tomorrow. Struck a nice balance between depth and completeness for me.

Good pace, nice mix of advice and practical snippets. My constructive criticism would be that you don't need the video intro, your own material is more engaging!
