Ashley gave so many great, specific tips for negotiating a salary at a new job as well as being your own advocate at a current position. Salary negotiation can be such an uncomfortable subject, so it's nice to hear someone who has a wealth of knowledge speak about it plainly and give us all a shot of courage.
This was hands down one of the best talks of the conference. I have been on both sides of the bargaining table throughout my years in management & this covered all of the major issues brilliantly. Great Speaker, engaging, great info.
Ashley's presentation was a profound moment for me at this year's conference. Initially unsure if I should even attend this talk with the anxiety that surrounds negotiation in favor of a "safer", more technical talk, I came away from this talk hopeful that I too could be a more confident and courageous negotiator. The presentation was clear and hit upon so many important issues (gender pay inequality, the importance of ASKING, negotiating as if advocating for a loved one). Thank you, Ashley!
