MySQL has been very busy with the last two releases adding support for spatial extensions. This talk will cover the OpenGIS Geometry Support in MySQL 8 including GeoJSON, spatial indexes, and more. MySQL now support both Cartesian and geographic SRSs so you can have an ellipsodial world!
MySQL has been very busy with the last two releases adding support for spatial extensions by working with the Boost.Geometery folks to greatly improve GIS support. This talk will cover the OpenGIS Geometry Support in MySQL 8 including GeoJSON, spatial indexes, and more. MySQL now support both Cartesian and geographic SRSs so you can have an ellipsodial world! And this support extends to the MySQL Workbench and other products too!
