Comment to organizers -
Inappropriate topic for a keynote - fine as a session.
Did not set the stage for the conference or celebrate the OS movement in Utah or provide that key note that inspires collaboration for the next three days.

Speaker - nice job with the topic. Thanks for sharing the insights from your experiences.

The theme of this talk was "if you're not jumping between startups every 3-5 years you're an idiot." The speaker was funny and engaging, but he needs to realize that not everybody is in their 20's. Different developers are at different places in their careers, and this is an industry where age discrimination is rampant.

Given that this was a keynote address, everybody should have been addressed, not just a narrow subset of folks.

Josh is a very good speaker.

awesome presenter and information about working in the tech industry

This has been the most interesting and relevant talk so far (in my opinion). Josh has a great stage presence and it was thoroughly enjoyable.

This is the kind of talk I would have loved to hear 10 years ago - and it reaffirms my own conclusions based on my career thus far. This presentation focused on the "hype" around development. The developers who are not interested in the hype may not have found as much value - but it's relevant nonetheless. Many of the developers on a team with "established" developers are going to be interested in the hype - you should be aware of their motivations.

As a team leader I'm constantly needing to push boundaries to address the white-hot technical talent recruitment. It's foolish to think this talk would not apply to everyone across all disciplines and every point in their career. This hype is the nature of this business.

Such a humorous, enlightening talk. Getting to hear from Josh was awesome!

While fun and interesting, as the very first keynote I didn't think it applied to the "open source" ethos, values, community, etc, at all.

Excellent speaker, fun topic, bad choice to set the tone for the conference.

Good presentation, but I agree with a previous comment about age discrimination being a horrible problem with older IT professionals. Therefore, my older age needs to be the biggest variable in choosing an employer to work for, and switching employers every 3 to 5 years is not possible for older workers.

The rest of the presentation was useful.

Fantastic speaker. I can't say I agree with everything he said, but I couldn't totally disagree with it either. It didn't really matter to me, though, because he said it with such charisma that it was great. And I'm going to do my own thing anyway.
