I was impressed with the talk and the subject matter, but felt a little put-out by the fact that the talk seemed to be a thinly-veiled advertisement for Google's cloud services. When the speaker was questioned about the latency problems he mentioned being easily attributable to the location of the servers, he did not have a convincing answer and got a bit defensive.
This talk felt a lot shorter than it actually was. It was great to hear from someone who has worked extensively with the Google platforms, as this isn't a popular topic outside of Google-run conferences.

Thoroughly enjoyed the laid back style of this presentation compared so some of the other more serious talk styles.
