For September's meetup, we have Mehdi Kimakhe with us doing his talk "Hadoop in motion"
Abstract
With the fast growth of data generated in and outside of the companies (eg: Transactional data, websites and servers logs, social networks, and recently internet of things IoT) and the desire to extract more insights (more profit) from it, new data processing tools submerged.
In this talk, we will try to focus on one of them: Hadoop. We will try to understand what Hadoop is and what makes it different from traditional databases. We will also discuss the projects composing the Hadoop ecosystem and deep a little bit in the modern and scalable data architecture.
