SQL Masterclass

I expected this workshop to be a bit more challenging, because there wasn't much new for me during this tutorial (besides the use of \e in the mysql commandline tool, haha). But I liked the enthusiastic way Lorna gave her story and explained how all the queries were done! She nicely caught the basics of SQL in such a short period of time and finished off with some very interesting things about optimisation, scalability and other things to keep in mind. Would love to attend an additional workshop going deeper in sql performance and optimisation!

I have to agree with Jeroen, it was beginner level. Don't take it personal, you are a fine, enthusiastic speaker, but the session did not bring enough value for anyone already working with MySQL on a day-to-day basis.

In this SQL Masterclass the amount of information regarding SQL was rather slim.
However Lora was able to dynamically bring this information with the short time given.
I'm afraid masterclass might be misleading, but rather an overview of the functions in SQL combined with some interactive querying with the attendees.

All in all I was really enjoying the talk, due to the enthusiastic Lora. (As indicated above).
Keep refining the content, add some more tips & tricks - I'm sure this talk can become a great addition to any SQL-related conference!

I had expected this a bit more high level, there were a few good pointers that i received, but i would not call this a masterclass sql, more a profound introduction to sql. Speaker was good and enthousiastic

Very well presented, but unfortunately the contents were for MySQL beginners.
