From what I heard it was a great talk, but unfortunately I had to leave due to problems with a production server... Sorry for that!

Good and funny insight in how the brain works to solve problems.

Very cool talk!

This was imho by far the best talk of the conference. Great delivery, good pace, great information. I need to dig into this more!

Best talk of PHPBeNeLux IMHO!

Very inspiring talk, Ramon seemed nervous the day before about how his talked would be receied, and very funny. I loved the array example and their were some interesting insight to change your mindset!

Thanks for the positive feedback, all. I really had no idea what to expect.

I added my slides, with "slight modifications" to preserve the quality of the talk. [chuckle]

The surprise of the conference for me this year!

Loved the concept and approach of the talk and the way you explained this 'thinking' theory, tie it to the world of development and tried to put it into practice with the raffler.
I agree with what you said yesterday that mixing up the theory and the example a bit more could work better, though you might lose the big laugh.

@Ramon; One thing I would really change is the abstract: it reads like you're giving a talk on "learning from your coding mistakes". It doesn't say that of course but since what you are actually talking about is quite different (and as an abstract-reader you simply have no idea), it's easy to assume the above.
It had me fooled and from what I've heard quite a few others too (and actually prevented them from coming).
And that would be a real shame!

Funny talk about an interesting subject! Great job!

Really cool talk about 'thinking' in different ways. Lateral thinking vs linear thinking. Really made me think about my own 'thinking'.

Since Ramon won the uncon last year, I had high expectations for his talk. And he sured delivered!

A fantastic mix of new insights, great examples and a funny story lead to one of the best talks of the conference and certainly the best one of day 2, in my opinion. Ramon is a very good speaker and really brings this story. Absolutely loved the talk!

My advice: invite this man to speak (keynote?) at your conference or meetup. I'm confident you will not be disappointed!

Didn't know what to expect, but I'm glad I did go to this talk. It's nice that not so technical talks(but about nice insights) also make it to the conference.

I think this was the first time he did the talk, but I can only rate 5 stars, even it was for self reflection/criticism/fun only!

I have a lot of respect if one can make a talk with a clear "red wire" so it gets easy to follow the talk.
Something one(read me) would act on.

Great talk. Didn't really know what to expect going in, but glad i did. One of the best talks i went to.

One of the most interesting talks of the conference. I didn't really know what to expect, but I learned a bunch about subjects usually not addressed at a technical conference.

Top marks for the pure entertainment value of the talk.

At first I was unsure what to expect from Ramon's talk. This was partly due to the abstract that seemed to suggest something else than what the actual talk turned out to be about. Nevertheless, I thought this was one of the better talks of the conference.

The story he shared was amazingly hilarious and I questioned multiple times why he would even do such a thing. Looking forward to see Ramon talk again in the future.

Great talk on a very difficult subject! Really enjoyed the (high) level of humor, and the connections with our day-to-day lives as developers. I can clearly recognize the different types of thinking and agree that it's important to realize what your brain is doing at certain times.

I think the content could be improved by having more examples or ties to our regular lives, and the presentation could be improved by less falling back to your screen/notes.

Great talk, was a bit boring in the middle, but I can understand it's not an easy thing to present in a fun way :) would enjoy attending again!
Nice insights on how we're thinking and how to catch yourself thinking in a wrong way.
