PHPBenelux is back after summer! This time we chose a location near the Dutch-Belgian border so everyone can enjoy this usergroup meeting. Wednesday the 5th of September WHITE will host the evening in their new office in Valkenswaard.

There is a nice present as well! We'll be raffling one ticket for PFCongres next 15th of September.

Talk 1 : Clients: Almost human - Frank van den Brink

When doing software development projects, things often don't go as expected. Defects, cost overruns, and missed deadlines can always cause clients to be unhappy about the result. In this talk I will explain the client's perspective, what causes them to be unhappy, and how you can change your communication to ensure that even when a project goes south, your clients stay happy and remain confident in the project's success and your expertise.

Talk 2 : To SQL or No(t)SQL - Jeroen van Dijk

So you have seen all the talks about CouchDB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis and maybe even played with them. But you still don't know which one should to choose when going to implement it in a high-performance website. Or should you even reconsider a standard RDBMS before jumping into the deep? In this talk I will shed light on the functionality of the different NoSQL solutions, and what's so good or bad about them, to help you choose the right path for your next great web application!
