Good overview of hashing and encryption in PHP with some general practices thrown in as well. For the hard feedback, you were a bit monotone, but that may have been because I was directly below a speaker. Mid-afternoon is a difficult time slot.

I didn't notice any issues with verbal tics such as "ummmm" or "like." For a relative n00b presenter you did fine, as you'll get over any issues deriving from the realization that we're actually paying attention.

After all, it's not like you passed out or anything. ;)

Lots of good content...hate that the examples used $_REQUEST though. Maybe a bit more animated delivery though.

Encryption is a really intriguing topic to me, so this review is a bit biased. But! I loved it. Learned about new features in PHP 5.5. Excited about the future.
