SESSION ROOM: ATLANTA 4

The University of Alabama has successfully implemented an automated request system for letters of transiency. The session will discuss how UA moved from a manual process that required 1,600-2,000 man hours per year, to an automated process allowing the student to have a transient letter in hand within two minutes. This automation has freed up resources across campus while enabling our students to help themselves by expediting their enrollment in transient institutions.

Good presentation. Would have also liked the technical side. But the benefits shown were fantastic. Excellent example of automation benefits.

informative and engaging

good presentation on an interesting topic.

very well presented. great idea. i can see other similar processes that could use this type of application. UA should submit this in Banner commons to make it available to other banner users and considered for INB.

good information on what 1 school could move to. Thanks.

good information.

good information on the topic. Try to make it a little longer and more about how other institutions could adapt a similar online process.

very good information.

some technical content would have been beneficial even if only some basics.

probably need a technical person as part of presentation.
