Running PHP used to be as simple as copying the files onto a shared host via FTP. What if we could get back to something that simple, but gain in security, performances and scalability as well? Let's see if serverless lives up to this promise! We will check out AWS Lambda and Bref, an open source solution for building serverless PHP applications.

I loved this talk. Serverless is something that I've been pottering around with in my own time but the examples shown today already have me calling for change in our Slack group!

It would have been nice to see some practicle demonstrations of Bref (although I understand that not all venues provide reliable WiFi).

Enjoyed the talk and learn about somehing new. Thinking about bilding some simple page to check Bref in practice. Good idea with examples about switching to FaaS in case of costs.

Really liked how he explained serverless. It was a great talk and made me wanna develop a new project just to deploy it with lambda.
