This talk is for developers who want to know how to debug their code in a better way, through single step debugging, profiling, and simpler debugging tools.

Xdebug is a PHP extension that implements many debugging aids and features. In this presentation we are going to look at this new version of Xdebug 3. The new version is a near total rewrite, and brings many improvements over its older releases. You will learn how to optimally use the new features and settings to make your development life easier.

It's always really fun to hear the creator of software you use talking about their software. Looking forward to the new features in v3. I've lost count of the number of times that XDebug has rescued me from debug hell :-)

Excellent talk
I was hoping to hear a little more about how xdebug works internally though

In this talk, Derick gave a good explanation about what is Xdebug and how difficult it's to maintain it.

Showing his ideas about Xdebug version 3, we can see that there's a lot to do and a lot to contribute with.

Well done 👍🏻

I didn't know what to expect when I attended that talk. It was quite interesting to see that only one person was behind xDebug. Thank you so much for this tool Derick. Looking forward to the new features.

I would have loved to learn some tips or discover some use cases, but that was not the topic so, fair enough
