In this short talk you'll get an overview on what dotfiles are and how to start with your own. We'll take a look at a couple of solutions to make sure that your dev environment can easily be restored once lost and how to save and sync some of your app preferences.

The introduction could be expanded a little bit.
I don't usually get to hear about ways of improving my developer workflow very often. But this was definitely that kind of talk! I can tell it's still quite a bit of work to get to where you are, but I can definitely see the value of it. I'll get started with my own dotfiles as soon as possible! :D
