Most people don't even realize how to scale their applications. The simplest solution is put load balancer and expand the cluster. Sometimes, there are much simpler and cheaper solution. You just need to know what you can use.
Varnish is one of those simple but powerful things. Mariusz not only talked what Varnish is, but actually where it can help you.
All I can say is, that our devops were pointed at Varnish after this presentation and probably we're gonna deploy it soon :)
