ottima introduzione all'argomento, forse poteva essere utile qualche esempio "live" oltre al codice sulle slide

La mia curiosità verso l'argomento (TWIG) non é stata sicuramente disattesa dallo Speaker, che con una rapida carellata ne ha saputo sintetizzare tutte le principali caratteristiche (e anche fornire un sostanzioso assaggio di sintassi). Forse il talk si poteva espandere con un confronto più apprfondito con altri template language. Ma nonostante tale assenza, alla fine lo speaker mi ha comunque invogliato a provare lo strumento... Perciò talk decisamente riuscito, direi.

Talk's been smooth to follow and the speaker definitely managed to convey most important aspects of what Amazon cloud services have to offer. The only reason why my rating isn't higher than this is that I've been definitely mislead by its abstract. In fact, instead of being focused on scaling as it was supposed to, the talk mainly dealt with Amazon service architecture and interaction basics. Amazon services and not scaling issues seemed to be the crucial part of the whole talk. Hence, it was definitely a great introductory session for those who've never heard of Amazon EC2 or S3, but I confess I expected that more hints in terms of real cloud oriented application design would've been provided.

Un talk verso il quale avevo parecchia aspettativa, ma che mi ha personalmente deluso. L'autore é stato sicuramente chiaro nei concetti espressi e la presentazione é stata decisamente valida ed efficace da un punto di vista grafico; troppo pochi però gli elementi fatti emergere, almeno rispetto agli intenti dichiarati nell'abstract. Di fatto sono stati elencati alcuni problemi e alcune caratteristiche dello sviluppo cross platform, così come introdotti alcuni tool di sviluppo; sono però secondo me mancati i necessari consigli "pratici" su come iniziare ad affrontare le problematiche introdotte. Secondo me lo speaker si é d'altronde concentrato troppo sugli aspetti introduttivi della presentazione e ha quindi in seguito dovuto recuperare sulle successive - potenzialmente interessanti - slides. Ecco quindi che forse anche solo un timing migliore avrebbe potuto rendere il talk più informativo. L'argomento e il punto di partenza hanno sicuramente buonissime potenzialità; con qualche revisione di prorità può secondo me divenire un talk molto interessante.

Finally a professor which practices TDD. I won't ditch my beloved Data Mapper any time soon, but I will evaluate libraries and frameworks more before including them in my projects.

Definitely made me think about the architecture of a web application (and it's my job). It went a bit over my head in the last part, but stimulates me to discover more about CQRS.
Also pragmatic in saying that even just defining Aggregates and enforcing their consistency is a step forward.
