It was a good presentation, I think it would have been better with more technical examples and anecdote's. Some server-side examples (even a ten line PHP script) would have been great, perhaps building a fully working, and super simple app, with both client and server side working.
This was a great primer for what Web Sockets are and how to use them. He didn't talk about setting up a small server, but that wasn't the point of the talk IMO. Great talk Scott.
An excellent primer on HTML web sockets! Would love to see full example of implementation, particularly integrated into PHP software. Scott obviously knows his stuff.

I would have liked the talk to have started at slide 15, and then had more on the server side at the end. A great deal of time was wasted describing for us what websockets are good for. But after we got into the meat, the talk was great. Thanks.

Well done. Good mix of concrete examples, discussion, and humor.
Very informative!
Interesting talk with some good humor. The talking was a little bit fast though. Next time no coffee ;)
