While the X-protocol was interesting, the speaker didn't get into the details of how it worked. Seemed like a very haphazard presentation. Even if the tools to use this protocol in PHP was available, the talk itself missed much on describing how the implementation works in the DB.

Was hoping for more information about various situations to use JSON data types and how to combine to two as well as use case examples.
