Excellent. Clear, informative, authoritative. Especially helpful is access to the generic project skeleton (with Vagrantfile and Puppet manifests/classes, etc) he provides via Github.

Will definitely look for more talks by John.

Thanks!

Great overview of vagrant+puppet. Full set of examples with good explanation. I'm excited to download and use/extend John's project skeleton.

Nice practical recipes.

Great overview and explanation that everyone can follow

Good talk, but could have benefitted from a higher-level graphic (or two) that showed the relationship between the various (highest-level) config files, and where they run (your machine vs. VM). Maybe also a workflow or timeline diagram that lays out the pieces, and the config files related to each. For someone new to the topic, this kind of context would be useful, I think, to get an understanding of the big picture, prior to delving into the details. Still, though, good talk!

John is a fantastic presenter on any topic. Fun, relaxed, interactive session as usual. Having never used Vagrant and Puppet I feel armed with enough knowledge to give it a try now. Thanks John!

Was a little heavy for me having not used Vagrant before, but got a great sense of the basics.

Great presentation, explained the topic well and thoroughly. Did explain the topic well - lots of code samples and explanations. Would have liked some more ideological concepts to instill the advantages for virtualization regardless of the hardships of converting.

Would love to be able to implement @ work back home.

Lots of good info. John knows how to engage the audience. Pointing people to his Vagrant skeletons was a nice touch.

Engaging speaker and great overview of virtualization and plenty of examples / recipes too. I'm excited to try this out at work.
