Awesome talk. I've been contributing to Drupal 8, but this is the first time I've seen how all of this fits together. As somebody more front-endy, this talk made me feel like I could try building a module some time. Very empowering talk!

Solid talk, delivered what it promised. Kudos to Garfield and others who have worked hard to transition Drupal out of its particularistic, procedural roots. As a former Drupal dev (from 4.6 -> 6), it looks attractive to return to next time I have CMS needs.
You did a great job of distilling why someone who might have deliberately avoided Drupal in the past may very well want to take a fresh, no-preconceptions look at D8, and did so with excellent delivery. Nice work, sir.
I don't work regularly with Drupal and I was able to follow a long enough to not only get a taste of what's in Drupal 8 but I also got a better sense of what Drupal is about in general.

Drupal 8 REST-capable, object-oriented :) - Hello, its 2015, you are at least 10 years behind other frameworks. Sans backward compatibility.
Clients (end users) will be very impressed, and all this is going to cost them how much exactly? lol.
Grow up.
Drupal is still neither framework (RoR, Django) nor something usable out of the box like, Wordpress..
