Amazing "tribal" knowledge from one of the foremost experts. Two hours still wasn't enough.

Good talk. It made me wish I had time to help maintain PHP extensions. Maybe I'll make time, seems like it would be a good way to actually learn C.

Great talk. I wish we'd had enough time to get to specifics on how to get existing extensions ready for PHP7. (I'd like to contribute, but hands-on help would kick me in the butt to actually do it.)

Technical and meaty, but not overwhelming. Great jumping-off point to extension development.

Amazing "tribal" knowledge from one of the foremost experts. Two hours still wasn't enough.

I came into this talk late because I spent the first of the two hours in a different talk, so unfortunately I think I missed the "actually quite easy" part. What I saw I clearly missed the context to understand. I am glad the slides where posted so I can catch at least some of what I missed. That being said Elizabeth was a very engaging speaker and it was very exciting to meet someone so directly involved with the PHP language development itself. I would definitely attend another talk with Elizabeth.

From a technical standpoint I give the talk five stars. But more importantly Elizabeth expressed the sense of community and camaraderie which is, or can be part of, PHP Extension support and development. I'm intending to take on the challenge this summer, even though I don't have any new extension in mind to write.
