Talk comments

Whilst shorter than expected, the content of the talk was definitely well put together, and well communicated. It served as a timely reminder of just how many people do have some form or either an impairment or a difficulty, and that, as a consequence, we need to ensure we do what we can to accommodate them, as well as what we can do when developing.

Definitely a good talk about RabbitMQ, especially as I'm rather new to the application. The honesty of the speaker, about the mistakes he made, helped make it much more relatable than I'd otherwise have expected. Would have been great to hear more about things like high-availability. But perhaps that would have been a bit much to take in at the same time. So on the whole, a well put together talk, very worthwhile!

This talk really resonated with me, really hit me where it counts. Whilst Yitzchok and I have walked different paths, I kept feeling that they we're actually quite similar. I loved the calm, and polished feel of the talk. I listen to a lot of speakers, but seldom one with such an obvious gift for speaking. This talk motivated me to figure out how to make the best of my own situation and to begin speaking at conferences myself. Thanks Yitz for such a well put together talk.

The first half of the talk made me think I had got the wrong stream as it was all stuff I already knew as we already develop on 5.6. The last part though introduced some elements which I never knew about! - EXCELLENT

Interesting talk and loved the conceptual ideas to do with mobile applications :D

We are only just getting into Wordpress as we write bespoke systems. There was some useful insight into WP and where we can go with it.

Not a great deal of structure to the talk. Seemed to flit about quite a bit. Maybe its because of technical issues but I didn't engage with the topic as much as I thought I would.

Lots of interesting information about the building large systems. From not reading the abstract, I found myself in the wrong talk since I was expecting it to be about PHP application architecture - that was my own fault though and the talk was still very interesting. It recommended looking at lots of other technologies for situations where PHP is not the best suited technology. My criticism is: I think rather than just listing the technologies and their pros and cons in isolation to PHP, it would've been more interesting to see some ideas of how to make PHP and other languages work together well.

This talk provided some interesting insights into the experience of sight impaired users. The points and topics which Michelle covered we really great and provided a good overall summary of accessibility. However, the talk did however seem to be fairly short - I think it would've been greatly improved if this additional time had been used to go into more technical depth.

Thanks all for the feedback and constructive criticism. I need to work on the nerves and my aim for the next talk is to get that right.
