Awesome presentation, great examples, funny, only good stuff. Just great :)

This talk was depressing, terrifying, and inspirational all at once. I really enjoyed the statistics and real-world information. I'm glad that some practical suggestions were made during the talk and definitely have some work to do when I get home. The speaker had a calm speaking manner with nicely punctuated jokes to keep things light. My only suggestion for this talk would be to lighten up with the jokes about specific technologies. It was fine during the slides that showed stats to support those light-hearted jokes, but calling out specific technologies at other points in the talk seems unnecessary as they all have room for improvement. Overall, an excellent talk about the current state of security, how we got here, and what steps we can take to start improving things.

Great slides, good humour. Perfect broad coverage without going needlessly into detail. Kitties!

Perfect mix of humour and harbinger of doom. Highly informative and am hour well spent!

An excellent talk - Thomas is a wonderful speaker with a fantastic dry style and wit. He's left me with a lot to think about, and I'm sure everyone in the room would agree!

Ditto all of the above. Thanks.

Really interesting talk on a subject not covered too often, as a result I will be changing how I built some of my systems.

Fantastic talk. Ignited a passion for security that I didn't even know I had. Thank you very, very much :D

Very depressing. Not the talk, but the reality that it shows. Now we *only* need to deal with it.
Presented incredibly well!

Very informative and humorous.

I'd dreaded that this was going to be a bit of a dry talk which would leave me struggling to stay awake, but Thomas' presentation was excellent with enough humour along the way to keep the vibe bubbling along nicely. As with all good talks, it left me with a to-do list of things to sort out on the back of it.

Excellent talk on some kinda-obvious-but-nevertheless-worth-thinking-about-more security issues delivered in a really entertaining way. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this talk; I thought it might be a little boring due to the subject matter, but it was most definitely not! Thanks for this great talk.

My talk of the conference - really informative, incredibly funny, addressing some really key points that we should all be considering - really could not fault this at all!

It's a good to listen to something about a security once in a while, since we (more or less) believe, that frameworks keep us safe and we don't have to deal with a security at all.

A very reassuring talk in a completely unreassuring way.

One of those talks where you feel completely powerless on the way out.

We all must try harder.

One of the best talks I attended! Really helpful information which helped me to understand that security it really hard (and wide) and we should pay more attention to it. Presentation delivery was awesome (delivered in quite funny way)!

Funny, fast and informative, this talk covered a lot of ground and though a little snipey at times, the subject matter more than justified it.

Gary Fuller at 12:38 on 22 Feb 2016

The most hilariously depressing talk you'll hear all year. Every single security misconception was ripped from the still bleeding corpse of my confidence in online security. Thomas used incisive wit and humour to take us on a journey that no doubt culminated in a frenetic rash of patching and updating. Brilliant!

David Shrive at 14:42 on 22 Feb 2016

Excellent speaker, confident, funny and well paced. Contents of the talk was equally interesting.

So much useful information. Makes you feel very wary about trusting anyone with personal information.

Very informative.

Entertaining and informative. Possibly the best talk at PHPUK16...
