This is a very relevant talk right now and useful. I think it may be better served as a hands-on tutorial with more time.

Also, I found it hard to follow along as files were modified/updated. It wasn't clear it was the same file as before, and the changes weren't obvious. I'd suggest highlighting what has changed and making sure to point out you are editing a file reviewed earlier. I think I was able to hang on util somewhere around plugins/services, and it got to be too much then. Depending on being able to review slides later...

Talk was informative, and paints a good picture of drupal 8. A before / after view of drupal 7 vs. drupal 8 might also be useful in relating older concepts into new methodologies.

Nice introduction to the improvements coming in Drupal 8. I feel like this was a nice talk given the enormous amount of content to cover in such a short amount of time. It was a tad difficult following along with the different config, schema, and controller files. Perhaps slowing down a bit during that part would make it easier to follow. Otherwise, excellent talk. Bravo!
