FLOW3 is a powerful and modern web application framework for PHP. And FLOW3 is the foundation of TYPO3 version 5. The fact that you can develop both, TYPO3 extensions and standalone applications based on the same framework allows for reusing your code, knowledge and infrastructure in a bigger variety of projects.
Last year we started releasing the first alpha versions of FLOW3 1.0 and several agencies started using the framework for first pilot projects.
In this half-day tutorial you'll get a first-hand introduction to the concepts behind FLOW3 and learn how to start you very own web application.

A great walk through both FLOW3 in general and more "advanced" example of dealing with FLOW3.
Great introduction to Fluid as a powerful template engine and easy to work with as both a designer and a developer
