Going Mobile with MonoTouch
Casey Watson (30.Jul.2010 at 14:45)
Talk at Dallas TechFest 2010 (English - US)
Interested in developing for the iPhone (or iPad) but don't have the mental bandwidth or desire to learn Objective C? If you've ever developed in .NET, building mobile applications with C# is a breeze with MonoTouch. Join us as we start from square one and build a complete Twitter client from scratch. We'll also talk about the recent changes to Apple's developer agreement (Section 3.3.1) and how that affects your ability to publish applications built with MonoTouch to the AppStore. Finally, I'll be talking about a new and exciting mobile technology that I've been working on over the last several months. This technology, based on Mono, allows people and organizations to quickly build and deploy cross-platform (on both the device and server) mobile applications. If you can build a web application, you can build one "native-feeling" mobile application that targets multiple platforms in a matter of minutes.Interested in developing for the iPhone (or iPad) but don't have the mental bandwidth or desire to learn Objective C?
