The Alternative PHP Cache is an opcode and variable cache for PHP that provides high performance to demanding web applications. I'll cover the fundamentals of the APC cache and how it can be leveraged to improve PHP performance, scalability, and end user experience. Recent changes and additions to the project will be discussed and some exciting possibilities for the future of APC. Attendees should have a solid understanding of the PHP/Apache environment, configuration, and language.

I have never used APC and I randomly choose this talk of the three being offered. It turned out to be the most influential talk of the conference for me. I have been ready and testing APC for the last week because of this session. Another topic that I would love to see is a getting started with APC; this track was really about the future of APC. Worth my trip to PHP|Tek

Great presentation - both content and style!
There's a lot of ground to cover, from fundamentals, implementation, performance tweaking, opcodecache, user cache - you need two presentations.
My only regret is that you couldn't possibly cover all the information in one ... and I regret not hearing everything else you could have talked about.
Hearing even more about real-world implementations (like Facebook) would be great.
