Appcelerator Titanium is an open source platform for developing native desktop and mobile applications using the web technologies you're familiar with. Web developers can use their skills to develop for both the Web and desktop/mobile apps. Ben Ramsey will demonstrate a simple application in Titanium Desktop, showing examples using JavaScript and PHP to power dynamic desktop applications.

The talk and presentation were both great, but I wish I done my homework before hand. Titanium isn't the tool I need or want. HOWEVER, that is no reflection on Ben or his presentation. I feel he did a great job in explain when Titanium is appropriate and when it isn't. Saved me from investing any extra time that would have been wasted.

This presentation was in my top-5 favorites. Had just the right level of overview and examples for an introduction to Titanium. I would love to see a similar session done for a mobile app/project, maybe as a tutorial.
