This session is the kind of session that could easy last 3 hours or more, so much detail on such a fine granularity. The subject matter tends to be dry ... an actual talk that lasted as long as it could, would put most people to sleep -- Even with Ligaya given the presentation. Her enthusiasm and passion for the subject matter really kept the session moving along, and kept me focussed, even when the some of the content was over my head.
I've had to recently try to configure a MySQL server that was just performing horribly. This was a good introduction to server tuning. The slides were packed with info, which will help with applying this in the real world.
