At the last PyCon we announced that we were starting a project for improving the Jython compiler. This year we will share the first fruit s of that work with the Python community!This will be a fairly advanced talk about the prototype for an optimizing compiler for Jython. I will pre sent the general structure of this compiler, the optimizations it performs and the performance improvements it gives.
