The PHP development team is heavily working on improving PHP. In this session you will receive an overview over changes which were recently made. It will not only cover big features, like traits, but also focus on backwards compatibility breaks so you can prepare our applications even when you are not planing on migrating over soon.

Informative, though in my opinon some changes / features were presented in too much detail. To be honest, i do not quite see the real world benefit of the interactive PHP shell (sorry, Johannes :-)

very interesting and I understand why Johannes spent a little bit more time on the interactive php console than maybe would have been necessary.
very good overview about upcoming features!
