Why do developers write their own frameworks when so many public ones already exist? Is it true that all frameworks suck, but some suck less than others? Could it really be that adopting a public framework is better in the short run *and* in the long run? Find the answers to these questions and more as I elaborate on my blog posts titled "... But Some Suck Less Than Others" and "The Framework as Franchise."
