Jacopo Romei (18.May.2012 at 11:00)
Workshop at phpDay 2012 (English - US)
Symfony 2 is the new wave in the PHP ecosystem, while TDD adoption grows steadily. This session brings the two together and shows test driven development for real, in a live coding session as if it was in a day-by-day activity.

I saw the second half of the talk, and it represents indeed the most modern way of doing ATDD and TDD with a look to external dependencies.

Excellent workshop on TDD using symfony 2. Very well paced, and organized. He went through each step in a thorough way and how to "optimize" code in the "right" way. Definitely learned a great number of things that I'll be implementing into our development flow.

Clean english, pratical and interesting workshop. Maybe I'd have liked to go deep in the example, expend more time on it. Thank Jacopo.

Great talk, amazing ability to deal with all the technical problems that occurred during the talk (audio issues mostly).
The content was very solid and the practice you have in giving that talk shows.
I'm a big fan of the "Integration test first - unit tests to implement" way of doing TDD.
The only thing I can really criticize is that you didn't check your prepared samples before you started the talk. Still you handled the problems very calmly setting yourself a good time limit to get going and having a plan to fall back on.
