With the continually decreasing cost of hardware, and the trend towards open source, it is now easier to get started with electronics than ever before. The next obvious step is to connect your electronics project with PHP to drive it over the web – but how? In this session get a gentle introduction to electronics and instruction on how to leverage them from PHP. We’ll explore various components and sensors along the way, ranging from photocells and ultrasonic range finders, to weather stations and RFID.
