Why Dynamic Tracing matters for PHP?
DTrace is the swiss army knife to analyze the behavior of applications, enabling you to gather detailed information from the bottom of your application stack up to the top. Besides Solaris/OpenSolaris, DTrace can be used on Mac as well as on FreeBSD. Support for DTrace was added to popular scripting languages like python, ruby and PHP and also within MySQL 5.x database.
The talk will give an introduction how to use dtraces capabilities with Drupal, reflect the current state of dtrace support in PHP and will give an overview about current efforts to enhance dtrace support in PHP.
