This month we will be heading back to Coolblue's headquarters as they have invited us again.

Make sure to be on time as we have changed our starting time for this occasion to 18:30: this is because Coolblue is offering us food at their headquarters.

So make sure to be on time to get a bite to eat, socialize and make a trip through their awesome office.

We will bring you two speakers as both Damien Seguy and Michelangelo van Dam will be presenting their talks.

PHP 7.1 : elegance of our legacy - Damien Seguy
PHP 7.1 is all ready to replace 7.0, adding even more features and goodness to the ground-breaking previous version.
Visibility for class constant, key specifications for list, void return type, mcrypt() removal, negative offset and warning for integer conversion.

We'll cover new features, deprecated ones and incompatibilities, so you're ready for your next migration.

Dockerize your unit tests for faster feedback - Michelangelo van Dam

Ever got the message ""Fatal error: Out of memory"" when running your unit tests?
Or do you have to wait for more than 5 minutes for all of your unit tests to complete?
We're using Docker to mitigate these and other issues.

In this session I will show you how we have split up a single testsuite of 3K+ tests into manageable unit modules which are executed by Docker micro instances in parallel. And with this set up we test our application on the current PHP version, but it also allows us to test against a new major PHP version the moment it is released or even is available in beta.

Attendees need to be familiar with PHPUnit and have heard of Docker.
It's not a session teaching them how to write tests or to set up Docker, but showing the power of both to speed up the feedback loop of tests in a local development setup or in a continuous delivery/deployment pipeline.
