Elixir & Phoenix: a gentle intro
Talk by Arjan Scherpenisse (1 hour)

Compared to PHP, Elixir is a new kid on the block, but it has some unique properties that make it well suited for web applications. In this talk, Arjan Scherpenisse shows Phoenix, the web framework written in Elixir, and how it can be used to create realtime collaborative web applications. Finally, he shows how easy it is to have PHP and Elixir interoperate.
